Fleetguard is the OEM filter brand for Cummins-equipped trucks. Cummins Inc. owns Cummins Filtration, the division that manufactures and markets Fleetguard. When Cummins ships an engine to Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freightliner, or any OEM truck builder, the service kit specifies Fleetguard part numbers as the manufacturer-recommended filter. That is what "OEM" means in the filter context: original equipment manufacturer-specified, factory-installed, and dealer-stocked. Aftermarket brands like Donaldson, Baldwin, WIX, and Luber-Finer make equivalents that meet the same spec, but only Fleetguard carries the Cummins OEM designation.
