Detroit DD13, DD15 & DD16 Engine Filters

Common housings across DD13, DD15, and DD16: same filter, different displacement.

The DD13, DD15, and DD16 are the same engine in three sizes. Same block architecture, same fuel system layout, same filter housing on the side of the block. The differences are bore, stroke, and turbocharger trim. A fleet running DD13 vocational tractors and DD15 over-the-road trucks usually carries a smaller filter inventory than the spec sheets suggest, because the three engines share more parts than they advertise. The same filter that fits the DD15 also fits most DD13 and DD16 service positions.

Steinberg stocks 11 filter SKUs across the DD platform from its 2007 launch through Gen 5 (2020+): three water separators (FF003 for Cascadia and Western Star, FF004 for the 2013+ EPA refresh, FF030 spanning DD5 medium-duty), two fuel filter kits (FF013 for 2014-2021, FF023 for Gen 5), three oil filters (FO009 for 2020+, FO010 for 2009-2019, FO011 for shared MX-13/DD-series housings), the FA020 air filter for Cascadia 2018+, the FC001 cabin filter for Cascadia and Columbia, and the FF022 separator for the DD5/DD8 medium-duty siblings. Each is cross-referenced to Fleetguard FF, FS, FK, LF, and AF series part numbers and ships same-day from Hodgkins, IL. NET-30 terms for qualified fleet accounts.
