What year is Cummins X15?

The Cummins X15 was introduced in 2017 as the rebranded successor to the ISX15. The first model year carrying the X15 badge in factory production was 2018, with some 2017 builds appearing late in that calendar year. Cummins followed with the X15 Stage V in 2020, which added the next-generation aftertreatment system, revised injection timing, and updated filter specs to match the new emissions targets. From 2017 to 2024, the X15 has been Cummins' flagship long-haul engine, displacing 14.9 liters and producing 400 to 605 horsepower depending on variant. The X15 designation continues today, with running changes nearly every model year. For filter sourcing, the relevant break points are 2017-2019 (X15 with EPA 2010 carryover specs), 2020+ (X15 Stage V), and any 2024+ updates that introduce new SCR or DPF generations.
